My son wants to be a treeeeeeeeee

We recently had some very strong gales in the UK and hubby had to cut some branches off a tree for safety. Well my 6 year old couldn't resist and he had to dive into them. I love this shot hubby took. It will be going into the scrap book with his many other antics that he gets up to.Oh to be young and find fun with a few sticks.

Down at the pond again..........

I just love this set Pond life from Paper Trey Ink so much fun in it and I love how you can use the stamps for different things like the turtle shell for a rock.
I versamarked the frog for the backing paper and stamped using a variety of chalk inks for the image added some ribbon I sourced from Hobby craft.Mounted on dark green cardstock from my ever flowing stash of card et voila!
One fun card.

Glue has dried .................

and I thought I'd frame this one within a squishy box frame(thats what I call it when the side collapse so its easily posted LOL) and added acetate to the front with peel off edging( I have not used peeloffs for a good while so fancied a change as you do).

Another Friday and I have been busy............

but I'm afraid you'll have to wait and see what I've been doing as the glues still drying and camera needs recharging.
So I thought I'd add my piece to what Em posted on the PTI forum about silly questions and answers.

What was I doing 10 years ago
I was a stay at home mom with a 5 month old son.Two girls in Primary school. I don't think we had a computer then in fact I know we didn't as I had more time for things like training my ferret and tending to the chickens in the garden. I wont say I didn't have interest in crafts as it was always there in some form or other at that time though I was into interior decorating in a big way. You'd never guess as my house now needs decorating from top to bottom again LOL

Five Snacks I enjoy
lightly salted Doritos, salted popcorn,Black cherries,Caramelised Nuts, and Chocolate.

Five things on my to do list
ironing always needs doing, make a card for a friends mum, tidy the front garden, make some more wax bears, and get things ready for the return to school ( my to do list is a lot more than 5 things and I know I still wont get it all done)

Things I would do if I was a billionaire.
move to Cyprus, open a craft shop, ensure all my family are well cared for. donate a fair chunk to Scope and other great causes and go on a few of Scopes expeditions the great wall of china sounds good ( I might have a go at something like this even though I'm not a billionaire).

Five Jobs Ive had
Secretary, Spot welder,File clerk, District Commissioner with the brownies, and Dinner lady

Five of my Bad habits
Okay I bite my nails( should stop really and I have done before but they get so far then break), I smoke (I know I shouldn't but I do I have stopped before and I hope to again )
I'm always forgetting things even after I've written them down and made lists I still forget things.I'm always repeating myself so if I've told you something already tell me to shut up LOL
I'm always spelling things wrong when typing. It does my head in. I'm sure there is more but OH is too polite to tell me LOL.

Five Places I have lived
I started in Birmingham UK , went to Telford, moved to Burntwood then to Tamworth so I haven't really moved very far. I do like travelling though when I get chance,Cyprus ,Spain and France are my favourites.

Six random things
Have I bored you yet, I love Def Leppard, I prefer red wine to white.I once dressed up as Xena the warrior princess for a fancy dress party,I have tattoo's, the first card I made was a teabag folded card.
Crikey that took a bit of time to write, hope you enjoyed my bast to the past

what were you doing 10 years ago ? LOL

Why is it when you set a day aside to have a play and try and get things done....nothing goes right and everything you touch either gets stuck to another project , something falls off or you finish it and looking closer you don't like it and it goes in the bin along with the other 4 that were not right and then you realise it s time to collect the kids and you've nothing to show for all the time you've been crafting.
Ive had to give in for today before I waste any more card or get violent with my ink dauber LOL
Its still warm and sunny out so that's a bonus :)

Tomorrow is another day......It better be better than today LOL

Ive come out of the Dark

and into the light.:) Well it is almost summer here in the UK. So I thought I'd change my blog about a bit and give it a spring clean and spruce it up with some flowers and feathers. Ive not had much chance to get many cards done so far this week as family commitments have taken precedence, as they should. But I will be creating tomorrow as I have the whole day to myself (until something else crops up that is )
So Happy Crafting peeps.

More sunshine.....

A couple of cards made with my PTI stamps again using father knows best and beautiful blooms I just can't stop playing with these.

Feeling bright and sunny today

Think it must be the sunshine its infectious so these creations are a little brighter than normal for me, but I had to stamp up and create a card using my new stamps from SweetnSassy stamps
I used an array of card stock the pink from paper mill and my diminishing stock of Bazzill I coloured the stamps in with pencils and marrvy pens, paper, ribbon and flower from craft stash.

Remember When...... in Colour

Well I had to make another one up from La Pashe as they are so easy to cut and mount This time I tried a journal portrait and flipped it over at the top with the verse on the flip bit. It fastens with a ribbon and brads to keep it sealed. Will just be putting my Stepdads name on the front ready for Fathers Day.

Busy busy busy......................

Thats how it seems to be at the moment I'm making the most of the sunny weather and getting all the things done around the house that have been crying out for attention for a long while.Ive been trying to keep up with all my new arrivals from PTI and sweet sassy stamps but so far I've only managed to get to play with my PTI stamps.
Two sweet cards : Using Spiral bouquets and beautiful blooms stamp sets I think I'll be playing with these more and more in the near future. They are fabulous sets.

Bank Holiday and what do I end up doing ........

all the washing and ironing,
when all I wanted to do was play
with my new stamps from PTI
Well I managed to get a little play at the end of the day
while the kids were busy with their sand castles in the garden.
I used Pond Life and the greeting from Father knows Best for this card, various card and paper from my craft box for the layers. I alcohol inked the back plate for the image.
I quite like the effect I think I'll be playing a bit more with these stamps tomorrow.
Once the kids are back at school that is.

Remember when......At the coal face

Here's another one from the series . The full set can be seen on Jaks site.
They will be available in sepia, coloured and black and white.
Check out Bev's blog and Karen's album for more inspiration.

As it's my dads Birthday coming up my thoughts turned to him and how I can make it special and then I remembered he is always forgetting the day of the week and who's birthdays are coming up. So I came up with this little twist of a calendar on the reverse of the poem.
It can be mounted on the wall or with a kick stand.
Hopefully next year he won't forget any one's Birthday's LOL.
