Halloween done and dusted.....

Well for me this year anyway, the costumes are put away ,kids have had a bath and watched a movie after their night of frightening the neighbours and my pumpkin is frightening away any cats that may be straying in the garden let alone spooky spirits.
Tomorrow nights jam packed again with watching the local theme parks fireworks display from a nearby field.Got to get the Soup prepared and maybe some sticky caramel apples for the kids, dont your just love this time of year all this sugar LOL.
Enjoy the rest of the night

Spooky... Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh

With Halloween coming up very soon now my little monster threw a pumpkin in the trolley when we were shopping yesterday (as well as ghoulish fingers, Darth Vader outfit and a light up skull) and I've carved my first pumpkin tonight that doesn't need to go in the bin (we normally have to go out and buy another one as I've destroyed the last one while carving I think I'm a bit eager with a knife )

Only thing is now hubby wants to go out and buy another one so we have a pair for the front step
Weird or what

Ive done it and took the plunge.....

Into a few things lol
Ive changed my blog background from the cutest blog on the they have the most adorable backgrounds I was spoilt for choice from their free range .
I'd love to make my own like this but time is against me it seems at the moment.
And Ive succumbed to the SU(stampin Up) range.
I think my purse will be empty more often with their lovely range available.
My prayers and hugs go out to my friends experiencing a difficult time at the moment.

Winning blog Candy I won ...... arrived today

Thank you Katie again.
I'll be playing with the ribbon and stickles over the weekend
Come back soon to see what Ive made with them.

Officially the end of British summer Time tonight

It is that time of the year again for us in the UK when the clocks have to go back to GMT for the winter. Okay so we get an extra hour in bed but its the final warning that winter is on its way and the way the bitter wind has been blowing today it doesn't seem that far off. I'm off to snuggle up with a hot chocolate and yes with Marshmallows in it for extra snuggle. Have a good weekend

Pass the penguin on

I just picked this little chap up from Jackie's blog.

Feel free to take him over to your blog too.

This is something very close to my heart as my mum had breast cancer just over 10 years ago and recovered after a alot of chemo/radiology and a partial mastectomy. She's always onto us (my sister and I) to get our boobs checked and keep an eye on them for any changes. So if this reminder prompts someone and saves a life then all the better.

The boys school is holding a wear pink day on Friday for this very cause but both of them have said "Do we have to wear pink?" Josh has opted for a pink badge to wear which I will be making for him and Aidan well the furthest we can get is for him to dye his hair maybe he'll wear a badge too. LOL

Breast Cancer awareness month

Background change hmmmnnn Im undecided if I like it

I know I've been messing again but as OH is still to decorate the stairs and landing. I thought Id decorate my blog well try to,LOL So far all Ive managed to do is replace the white background managed to delete my sigi Ooops and change the fonts I'm in a really weird mood today so it may be changed again yet If in doubt I can always go back to the original again. Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks
Think I'll go and make some cards instead LOL
By the way more candy available from Jen go check it out and from Jill and Joanne theres even more

Lavender everybody loves

Lavender well most do LOL
Had to make the quickest card ever
it was needed in 10 Min's with my friend hovering over my shoulder for it to be done.
Hence the peel off ( she couldn't wait for ink to dry LOL)
Just a floral arrangement mounted onto some lavender card stamped with polka dot basics(this was already done and just needed cutting to size) I found this backing paper amongst the stash I have it was a b***er to fix to the card but I managed it. A scrap of card from once upon a time and a pull bow to finish.

Sunday again ......and a thought

I've spent most of the weekend in my crafting shed while the kids have been enjoying the autumn sunshine with their friends and while stamping( standing up )I was wondering:
How do you craft ?
standing up or sitting down
Ive found myself over the weekend up rather than down and stood next to the chair instead of sat on it ( not that I can sit on it at the moment as its covered in glitter spray)
Hmmmnnn well
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Blog Candy

Katie at MyPaper Haven has some bits up for grabs
Nikki has some fab high hopes stuff up
Have a fab weekend

I've had this ghost stamp ages it was a freebie in a magazine offer, now I don't normally make Halloween cards as in the UK its not as celebrated.
Well I was nagged by my son Josh( my own little monster) to make a card with it so I invested in a few other Halloween stamps(I love stamps of any sort)from eBay.
Mr ghosty (as Josh calls him)was distressed with old paper and tea dye, spider webs and spooky trees were stamped direct to card, the pumpkins were stickers that were cut out and mounted.

Supplies:Card stock brown black and tan from stash, once upon a time paper Boo stamp spider web stamp and ghost stamp,PTI Noir black ink, sizzix corner pumpkins from stash.

Oh Im a bad bad blogger

I've been so busy with kids stuff ( senior school admissions ready for next year) and catching up with work etc. I've been neglecting my blog, slapped wrists and told off duly.I will have to do much better. I had a delivery of punches this week along with more stamps to add to the ones I haven't even opened yet (oops)
So in between life LOL I managed to come up with this card
Some simple little flowers(simple hmmmnn that's debatable ) to accent a simple little card.
Those nestabilites come in so handy.
Supplies:Lace effect card stock, pink bazill card, PTI stamped phrase, embellishments pearls, ribbon and punched flowers.
