Oh I hate mondays....................

Its official I loathe them... Everything I had planned has gone awol
from the early start to getting up late, More work at the school ( I know the money helps but it means more time away from what I really want to do)
Then to top it all Ofstead are in the nursery this week and I'm called in again to be ready for that.
When can I get a moment....wednesday afternoon is looking good LOL
Oh and I've finally got the glimmer mist off my hands after yesterdays playing a bit of bleach and a scrubbing brush worked eventually LOL

Sunday. ..and what a glorious day

The weathers been lovely this week and I've made the most of it catching up with washing LOL
Well it never ends in our house.
I have been crafting and while waiting for things to dry I realised something, Always have a pair of gloves handy when using glimmer mists my candy apple red is not only all over my box but all over my hands too
( and no matter how much washing of them I do it still doesn't come off )
So a tip: Wear gloves when handling glimmer mists LOL

What a week............

I've been swamped with catching up on the things I didn't get done before going to Manchester and it seems the list is getting higher as I type LOL
Cameras batteries have died again so the cards I've done will have to wait til another day to be photographed
Here's a picture of Pheobe she's almost 9lb in weight now five weeks on.
Just love that hat.

One of the classes at Manchester was using stampbord and I loved it. (I love this medium) and the makes I made were a little trinket box, a brooch and a bubbled effect under water scene ( I just need a fish or mermaid now to go on to it to finish it off)
The bubbled effect on the edges of this piece was so easy to do and so effective. I think I will be making more use of my stampbord in the near future.

Baby blessings.........................

Why is it when your asked if you have a card you never have the one they need.Had to make this new baby card for a friend really quick as she needed it that night.PTI stamps came in really handy again. I do love their sets.

I stamped the little onesie with brilliance ink and mounted it,added a ribbon tag and ribbon with greeting again from PTI bitty blessings set. My friend was pleased as punch and one of the quickest cards Ive made ever I think.

Id rather have snow ........

Than all this rain of late,so what better way to get some than make a snowman card. My red card finally arrived so I was able to finish one of the La Pashe xmas singles sheets. I used the oval pyramage on this card by mounting it on to a nestabilities scalloped oval, cuttlebugged a strip of white card and used a fiskars snowflake border on the edges. For the background I used a snowflake stamp from Oysterstamps with a copper metallic ink from Encor this matches the copper edge of the ribbon, you can not really tell in the photo. A simple greeting to finish it off and another xmas card added to the list.

Singles La Pashe xmas sheets can be bought from Imag-e-nation

Another Monday and rain ,rain, rain.

What an eventful weekend it has been. My heart goes out to all those that have been flooded out in the last few days. Our local school was flooded in the torrential downpour we had and firemen crews have had to get all the water pumped out ( it was touch and go as to whether the kids would go to school).
But my eldest son was packed and shipped off to a Shrugborough this morning He has clean clothes enough for a week ( they will probably come back still folded in his case knowing him ( he's a boy they don't believe in washing or changing it seems LOL) I will miss him loads
I'm still waiting for my card order so it looks like doing a few mundane chores before I can hit the shed again. :(
Only five days now till I'm off to Manchester I cant wait I'm looking forward to it.
Pop back soon

Phew.....the back to school rush

And it has been a rush.... as much as I tried to be organised and get it all done before the end of the holidays I succumbed to the mad dash trying on shoes, trousers, shirts, etc New pencil cases are needed and "Mom can I have a new lunch box ? " " what was wrong with the old one?" I mistakenly ask "not cool any more" Its a cool bag I thought they kept everything cool. So three hours in the crush of the town centre and asda's regular customers I come back without new pumps, (no sizes that I need ) trousers that will only last a couple of months if he's lucky and doesn't eat so doesn't grow and a bunch of illuminating stationary that I'm sure will cause blindness when writing anything let alone a name.

The only thankful thought is once they are safe at school I can concentrate on getting back to normal (whatever that means LOL) and a routine again.
