and yes they are my last Christmas cards for 2008 too
Two very quick cards from some free papers from card making and paper craft magazine. I just cut and decoupaged and mounted them up very quickly with a bit of glitter added to the cuffs and Santa's beard.
Am I prepared for Christmas and the New Year ?
Well for Christmas no.. but I never am and this year has not had that special twinkle for me so hopefully 2009 will be better.
Here's a sneak peek of the new blog outlay for 2009
Have a wonderful Christmas and I'll have some new treats for you on Jan 1st
and this is sort of what I had in mind for a quick card I have loads of these packets of tissues 10p per pack from the local shop.
Using the top layer from two of the tissues I fixed one to the card and frayed the edges then with the other I attached it to a piece of card and cut out the main figures and decoupaged it, added a little glitter and voila a simple Christmas card.
Ive always known this as the napkin technique it is really effective.
Phew what a wonderful last day at the nursery the littlies were really good you can see them getting excited for Christmas. Had a lovely time watching the Snowman ( I love that film ) and its given me an idea so hopefully I can show you in the next few days what Ive done .
So I'm home now till next year and can focus on our family Christmas.
The same whiff of joy stamp used with copics again and some snowflake backing paper I glittered up a bit. Ive not been able to go in the shed Boo hoo as the electrics went and nearly fried the plug socket so Hubby is going to fix it hopefully before next week but it means I've moved some essentials into the house
he..he..he......see how long it takes before its back in the shed and not on the table.
........ actually its started to snow here not alot but a flurry
Here in the UK its all stop as soon as the first flake falls but any hoo I managed to get to use my new SU tab punch on this card its come in so handy this last month with organising my folders let alone cards
The stamps from Whiff of Joy, papers simply elegant from papermania, I used copics to colour and distress round the edges, a bit of ribbon, tag and a few corners some glittered with stickles
