Oh boy Ive been so busy this week and a half

Ive had no real time to make much or post it seems one problem after the other on the family front .
Well today is my youngest birthday so we're celebrating with a little get together.
He has his favourite Ben 10 cake to share out later.
Then a shopping spree in Toys r Us to spend his birthday money.
So its just a quickly post I guess except
I was tagged by Jeanette and had to go into my photo folder and choose the 6th folder and 6th photo in it well its this one
Joshua's first nativity in preschool ( he's the blonde )
I'm going to tag everyone for this
as it was fun seeing which folder turned out so consider yourself tagged.

The valentines one hubby will be getting this year LOL

More flippin men..........

These are just a few of the ones I've made recently
using ink pads, stamps and embellishments to enhance the aperture cards.
Check out La Pashe for more

Flippin men on the LOO ...

and you know its true of someone in your family I know of someone in mine.
One of the latest sheets to come from La Pashe.
I just had to put a door onto this one as if in the out house
I used distress inks frayed burlap and walnut stain and a marker for the wood grain and had a couple of hinges I could attach to the door
It was fun making this one I giggled all the way through the making of it.

What happened to 2009

being a good year grrrr.....
Okay so its not been too bad in all honestly but Ive spent the last two days not making cards as I would have loved ( I need to make some to calm down ) but Ive been following up all the niggly little jobs that were left over from last year like taking back the toys and games that don't work and arguing with a new printer and its continuous ink system an ink system that does not work at all not even a dribble except all over my hands when trying to get the air out.
To say I've been stressed is an understatement
grrrrr.......
However after hubby had given up with me he went and got some ink cartridges( there is only so much a man can take and me in a mood isn't one of them ) so my printer works fine with them.Ive managed to get some work done late into the evening but done.
Off to get 2009 back into being a good year.

More Sugar

I love the Sugar Nellie Home grown Range
This card features Pringle.
I coloured him with copics again, I'm getting a bit more confident with these now. I keep forgetting to write down the combination of colours Ive used ( note to self to take a picture of pens LOL)
Ive used whispers papers and papertrey ink ribbon along with a sentiment from them to finish it off and I had to use a few dew drops for good measure.

Another Plane...........

I figured why not decoupage the other planes up too while I can
as I'm always in need of boys cards when I've never got any.

Simply added a PTI sentiment from Men of Life set and memory box paper again
I do love these papers

A happy Sunday to you all

Wow
Janet from Pink gems Designs has some scrummy candy up for grabs to celebrate the new releases of her stamps
Check it out

Blog Candy and wow

has some wonderful candy up for grabs just to celebrate the new year

Sugar bowl Challenge

A new years resolution for me is that I will do more of these
The Sugar Bowl 's first Challenge and mine for 2009
and its a lovely sketch by Tiets , lots of layers
I received my new sugar stamps just before Christmas
So I've been playing the past couple of days with my copics while its been cold outside.
No embellishments as the papers from whispers and memory box are so rich I didn't want to distract from them this time. The sentiment is a PTI stamp

Only the second of January ......

......and my to do list is huge already
I'm waiting for a new printer to arrive so I can get back into gear but while I'm waiting, Its Aidan's Birthday on Monday and I thought I d better get his card made.
11 is such a difficult age I think, as they are going through big changes with school and hormones etc
So one of his favourite things is planes.
I decoupaged a plane up from La Pashe
There are some lovely sheets of cars, fire engines and motorbikes but it was a plane I wanted for Aidan's card.
I layered up some water on oil and silver hologram card
with a piece of memory box paper and added the plane.
I cut out his name and age with the slice
and because Aidan's favourite colour is blue we (Josh and I)glittered them up
Hopefully the glitter will stay on until Monday.
Right Id better go clear up the mess of glitter in the kitchen.
Then add Birthday cake to the list for Monday

Welcome to 2009

And welcome to the changes on cardsncandles
I figured after all the doom and gloom in the world at the moment
I wanted something cheerie and bright
and I love sugar cookies any time of the year.
so how did everyone do with Christmas and New year
Any resolutions apart from the diet and trying to give up smoking.
I've definitely made one
to smile everyday and be thankful for my health and family.
How about you?
