Yes I'm now a fully fledged first aider for another three years I finished my course early today as we speed through all the relevant information on slings and bleeding and only stopped when we needed too No one was hurt and all who attended got a lovely certificate Now I may able to get back to the task in hand and get some cards made as Ive got orders coming out my ears and wonderful Stampin up orders coming in too Have a lovely weekend
Wow has it been hot today... what a scorcher if I hadn't have been at work I think I would have been taking the ferrets choice of relaxation. You know I told you hubby was the photographer in our house well here are a few of the shots he caught today in our garden I have to say I love the one of the ferret "not a care in the world" and it looks like the bumble bee likes the chives hubby's let flower this year.
I've been asked recently how to take a photo and what do I use. Well I'm not very good with photos, hubby's better than me and I get him to take a fair few of my pictures, but I did find a bargain. Its the best £1 I have ever spent yes I did say £1 from the pound shop this little tripod fits onto most camera's and if you have a small digital camera its ideal, stops the shakes and wobbles and with a piece of white paper top and bottom you are sorted with your photos
Oh dear I don't think I will make a very good first aider lol After sitting through the first couple of hours of explanation's on the respiratory system and how to help a heart attack victim and what signs and symptoms to expect it was the time to get practical with re suss Annie and her children ( re suss dummies adult, child, and baby) Annie was fine brought back to life no problem as was her child but I'm sorry but the baby wouldn't have survived as I got the choking obstruction stuck in the wrong way and couldn't get it out again it had to be moved with a compass (no forceps available in the venue where the course was held) Thankfully after the obstruction was put in properly I did it with ease and passed that bit. I don't know what to expect at the next session as its burns scalds, bleeding and bandages( the mummy comes to mind for that) so I will see if I can pass that bit with no mishaps knowing me anything can happen

Urgent card needed yesterday. With all that has been going on I forgot to get this card done so into the shed I went and sat blank for a few mins I forgot how to make a card ooopppps The brief " he likes Jazz" gulp! so after routing through my stash this piano card emerged I had some music peel offs and that was all I was going to glitter the peel offs on acetate but had no time so I had to stick them direct to the card. The cuttlebug music folder came to the rescue for the background and a simple curve on the card stock created the piano A PTI sentiment and it was ready to post off Phew!!!
Bits and Bobs: Stamps: handwritten notes PTI Card: white linen ( I found some lol ) black and grey Inks: black soot distress ink, versafine black Embellishments: music peel offs Tools: Cuttlebug music folder, black pen, ruler

....after spending a gorgeous sun and fun filled weekend
with friends. I had a first experience of a reiki session ( very weird) and burnt my finger as well as other parts of me while making a pendant with a melting pot and UTEE.
There was a bit of crafting, a bit of drinking lots of laughter and unfortunately a bit of emergency services being called ( seeJaksBlog),but a fantastic time was had by all and today my good feeling continued when I went and had a new hairdo this was about the best shot hubby could get as I don't like having my photo taken so I just stood still long enough in the garden.
I missed this era I guess but I did turn my hair colour to green and red and purple and blonde during my rebellion years a bit later mind I think Im still rebelling lol.
I used a bit of real tartan cloth for this one and well had to have a few safety pins in there Check out Jaks,Karens and Jackies blog for more inspiration Bits and Bobs: Image:La Pashe Sheet Embellishments:Brads, Tartan cloth, chains, safety pins
Miserable rain, foggy head and groaning belly from eating too much at a chocolate fountain last night well you just have to don't you I had a lovely evening spent out with the girls at Wing Wah's an all you can eat Chineserestaurant. It was a fun night and my eyes were bigger than my belly.
